Educate a Child

By giving a donation of 8000 rupees, you can support a child in education over a one year period. “The Educate a Child-Adopt programme” concentrates on children of Class from 9th to 12th in deprived rural areas. This fellowship programme is an Excellent Academic and Personality Development Programme for students who are weak at Socio-Economic background. It provides financial assistance for Higher Education, Mentoring and Leadership development through workshops, while facilitating a sense of social responsibility and encourages them for bright future. The money you give will be used for school fees, uniforms and educational materials.

Similar to the Adopt a Child programme, you will be linked to particular child and will receive three reports about his or her progress over the period of one year: first, some background information about the child.

Then interaction by the child after 6 month; and finally, a report at the end of the programme. However, the money you donate will be used to support many more children as ZYVS works in local communities to highlight the importance of education.

ITS UNIQUE FEATURES:

  1. It is an Educational Scholarship and Personality Development Programme for Children.
  2. We will screen our adopted children on different set of parameters: NEED, AMBITION & TALENT.
  3. We will encourage pursuance of both; academic as well as vocational studies.
  4. We will make a unique system of mentoring, in which Group Discussions, Debate and Overall Personality Development of children will be focused.
  5. For development of our children’s personality, we will conduct quarterly workshops in which speakers from diverse fields will address and guide them for their higher studies.
  6. We will Inculcate Social Awareness in our fellows through compulsory exposure to social work for a prescribed number of hours (i.e. 50 hours annually) during their fellowship tenure.

ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Candidates are required to obtain admission in the desired School, prior to seeking Fellowship.
  2. The applicant should be from Government/Government Aided School.
  3. Minimum marks required for Academic Fellowship will be 60% in previous class.
  4. Total Income of the Family /Guardian not to exceed Rs. 1, 80,000/- per year.

SELECTION PROCESS:

  1. Application to be made on the prescribed form.
  2. All applications will be screened on (NAT) NEED, AMBITION & TALENT Parameters.
  3. Short listed and deserving candidate will be called for a written test.
  4. Home visit will conduct those who qualify in the written test.
  5. Those selected would be called for induction and orientation.

Contribute in our efforts for rescuing children by sending us a cheque, draft or making an online fund transfer. Your contribution is eligible for exemption from Income Tax (up to 50%) under Section 80G of Income Tax Act 1961.
